Food Art!

We have been talking about foods we like as well as learning about different food groups. We worked collaboratively with a buddy to find food we like to eat. We looked through lots of magazines, cut out  foods we liked and glued them on. Check out our photos and learning below.

ABCs!

Te Aupouri was teaching us some of her ABC sounds in her free time today! What lovely class members we have.

Swimming

The children are having so much fun at swimming. Last Tuesday we had some swimming experts come in from Swimming New Zealand to help us with teaching swimming survival skills. The children had a great session and Miss Rayner and I will be continuing to work on these skills with all of the children. We have been learning float on our backs. Check out our pictures below.

Maths Learning!

We have been learning about numbers and counting. We had a pretend teddy bears picnic. We put teddies on our blanket and counted how many were on there. Then we looked at making and creating patterns with our teddies. Check out our photos below!

Swimming Art!

Room 15 are loving our Swimming Sessions at school everyday! We wanted to do some art work to show how much we are enjoying the sessions. We looked at the colour of the water, we then looked at the movement of the water. We used white crayons to draw the splashes and waves. Then we used blue and green dyes to colour over top. After that, we drew a picture of use swimming as well as adding a cool photo of us swimming. Lastly, we added some language and writing about our swimming times. Phew! Lots of hard work from all the children in Room 15!
