Sign language

Hello everyone!
We wanted to share with you another fab video of the class from Monday as we practiced our New Zealand Sign Language skills and sang along to the national anthem. The kids are always very passionate when they are doing their signs and we also learned how to say hello, how are you, and good morning!

We hope everyone is safe and settling into a new routine, everything is a little uncertain right now but the most important thing is that you can show each other love and care at this time. If you are unsure as to what you should be doing with your child, or worried about their learning then please don’t put so much pressure on yourself! There are lots of learning curves for us all right now and there is no right or wrong, all we can do is care. As the weeks go by we will be uploading more activities for you to do at home, but for now please just take the time to readjust to this new routine and lifestyle.

We can’t wait to hear about all your creativeness, and as always please comment below or email us about any questions, or what you’ve been up to!

Staying active and having fun!

Kia Ora friends!
I wanted to show you some of the awesome moves our little ones did on Monday in response to watching a video of a Haka on You tube (we watched this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BI851yJUQQw but you can use any!).
It was great fun and we used lots of energy and got our bodies jumping around, as well as getting to stick our tongues out and make faces at the adults around us!

I wonder what moves you guys can show us at home? Maybe you can practice your Haka face! Let us know what you're up to in the comments or by email, and we can't wait to hear from you all soon!

Stay safe, love from Miss Rayner and Mrs Bond

Cafè Room 15!

This week we have learnt about how important it is to have breakfast and how it gives us lots of energy for the rest of the day!

Our class cafe managers Heidi and Mary has the very important job of giving us our breakfast food after we asked for food using their ‘please and thank you’.

Play dough animals!

Today in room 15 we used play dough to make our favourite animals! We talked about which animals we liked then made them together.
Then we wrote ‘ I like’ sentences about the animals we had made!

Food Art!

We have been talking about foods we like as well as learning about different food groups. We worked collaboratively with a buddy to find food we like to eat. We looked through lots of magazines, cut out  foods we liked and glued them on. Check out our photos and learning below.
