Bees and Honey

Take a look at our awesome bee experience over the last two weeks. We were so lucky today that Miss Lisa brought in a real honeycomb for us to see and taste! mmm, how delicious!

Pahurehure inlet trip

Here are some pictures from our trip to the Pahurehure inlet. Thank you to all our parent helpers and other volunteers. You all made this trip a massive success! The children had lots of fun and we came up with lots of ideas about the things we had seen (which included a lot of pekeko!).

Cricket

Wow, what a cool morning we have had being taught some different cricket strategies. We learned how to throw and catch the ball, how to aim at the stumps and how to hold and use our bats.

Have a look at our awesome cricket skills below!

The Lorax Challenge

Wow! Check out Boston's Lorax Challenge.

Boston's nana has sent in this collage and said

"Today Boston found a nest fallen out of a tree and safely put it back and he saw a bird flying on the wire looking for it’s nest.

Boston said he is helping the Lorax look after nature."

Awesome job Boston!

Super spotter award

Room 16 (with the help of some of Room 9) worked hard this week to be the most respectful class in assembly on Friday.

Every other week in Junior assembly our 'secret spotter' looks out for the class trying their hardest to be respectful and follow our assembly rules. These include sitting up straight, keeping our hands to ourselves, and being respectful to the person speaking.

Here is Room 16 with their trophy for being the most respectful class.
